Type Design

Kosh is type design project that tackles the lack of impactful and modern Devanagari display fonts. Through calligraphy practice and research, a unique typeface was created that bridges the gap between traditional Devanagari script and a clean, geometric aesthetic.

Case Study

To make a typeface, the study of the original script was necessary so I started by studying and forming basic letters using traditional calligraphy practice and tools used to do that

According to my basic research and interviews I found out there are not many Devanagari display fonts available and if they are they are no too up to the mark

so new type was made using devanagri script which is easy available to people and which creates an impact on people

I created this type that bridges the gap between futuristic and traditional

essence.
